Waiting…
Well, everything seems to be on track so far… I have all the travel documentation for the dogs, all the hotel information, the route has been printed (in case the phone GPS won’t work with out a signal) and the Bronco has been serviced (oil change, fluid levels etc.) and will be waiting at the airport when we arrive. I just hope the keyless entry works, otherwise we’re not even going to make it out of the airport parking lot.
My only immediate concern is that my checked luggage (with all the emergency gear, such as the CB radio, first aid kit etc.) will get lost or delayed. It’s not a huge deal-breaker, as I can probably just replace it in Anchorage, but it’s definitely not something I want to deal with.
I just printed out all the CB lingo and radio codes, so I’ll have some studying to do on the plane before making an ass of myself on the air. Apparently, I already do enough of that online, but whatevah…
My only other concern is losing my 82 week Peloton workout streak if I can’t find somewhere to work out. But if worse comes to worst, I think I can just (pretend to) do a 5 minute yoga class on my phone, so I should be ok there. But that’s assuming I have internet…

Good thing you are prepared for those “no service” spots….and there will be some! Our friends the Perry’s will be along the same route around the same time as you so keep a lookout for them ~ White Dodge Ram pickup with older Lance camper. Hope all goes smoothly with the flight and of course the road trip too! Safe travels!
Oh shoot, this is what I really meant to say “Keep the shiny side up” ~ Very important CB lingo…lol!
Bear Bait means something wholly different in other circles! >.<
No commercial company for you on this trip either! Utilize that Hammer Lane, Good Buddy. Keep an eye out for Kojak with a Kodak, especially those local yokels. Ick!
Have a GREAT TIME!! Be safe!
